Dear All,
The Annual Conference of the Caribbean Association of Indigenous Banks Inc. is the premier event for bankers and executives of financial services institutions in the CARICOM region and a dynamic forum for discussion of issues relevant to the regional financial sector.
Over the four days, November 12 - 15, 2007, the Conference will be looking at how we can continue to enable the growth of the regional banking and financial services sector within the context of the global banking and financial services environment under the main theme "Defining the Market Space". We have also created sub themes to be addressed by various presenters: "CSME: The Platform for Global Market Expansion" and "Banking in a Single Space". |

This year sees the introduction of a Pre-Conference Training where you are invited to participate and to bring along other representatives from your organisation as we explore the topic "Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF).
An equally important feature of the Conference will be the final day of relaxation and the cementing of the relationships formed or renewed during the hectic formal sessions. For this purpose, the Local Organising Committee has planned a River Safari. The Safari will take you up the majestic Essequibo and Mazaruni Rivers to the Baracara Falls where the more adventurous can actually experience the feel of the "Coca Cola" waters of Guyana. Along the way, many historic sites from the period of Dutch ownership of Guyana will provide an ideal backdrop to the tranquility of the interior of Guyana and be a most fitting end to what we hope will be a most enjoyable Conference.
We hope that you will be able to join us for this year's A.G.M & Conference, which as always will give you a great opportunity to network and meet with your peers, share your experiences and your business challenges and discuss your solutions.
We look forward to seeing you. |
